Reville Evidence - Spectator
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
BEFORE YOU PLAY
You might want to turn the sound down just a touch, as there are some loud "impact" sounds...
This game is designed as if you were playing with a light-gun - so the controls are built to be weird on purpose!
Please let me know what you think of it in it's current state - I'm thinking about changing it (see below).
HOW TO PLAY
WASD or Controller: to move (controller is untested)
MOUSE: turn left and right, there is no looking up or down on purpose
LEFT CLICK: interact with what is in front of you or what the cursor is on in the menu (sometimes you need an extra click to re-activate an object)
RIGHT CLICK: aim mode (moves the cursor to "shoot", but there's no shoot yet)
TAB: to open/close inventory
ESCAPE: quit the game immediately
ABOUT THE PROTOTYPE
There's not much to it yet. There's no interactive elements once you leave the first room, and the end of the Staircase is the last part (the Carpark has nothing).
I want REVILLE EVIDENCE - SPECTATOR to be an homage to Resident Evil Survivor, a Playstation original light-gun game.
This is an upload so you can see one of the things I've been working on in the last few months - I've got about 90 hours of development into it, and about 70 hours of that was just testing out visual style and asset production pipelines, the rest was debugging complex systems haha.
I'm thinking of revamping it and removing the 1990's "PSX" style completely to go for a more of a 2000's look, with a distinct style of a dystopian city with a smidge of cyberpunk aesthetic.
I already have a story I want to include.
See the readme.txt for all the credits/attributions.

Good game I like the staircase jumpscare. I feel like there could be a nice chase scene if you have something chasing down the staircase while you avoid the people opening and closing doors.
Some problems I had was that I couldn’t open the options menu in the main menu, Maybe a bug tough. Some of the camera effects were way too much, at least for me. Maybe add an option for that, if you haven’t already. I couldn’t find any ammo, so I could never shoot, and it didn’t seem like the enemy in the hallway could kill me so why would I shoot?
Overall great game, love the style. I see very much potential in this game I hope you make something amazing. :)
Hi! Thanks for the comment. I actually removed a lot of the effects already, haha! I'll keep working on it, thanks!
No problem. Great game!
